Introducing the brand-new Switch to iPad site 🎉

A companion to the paid newsletter

Hi all!

I have some big news this week! As hinted previously, I’ve had something brewing, and I’m thrilled to be able to share it with you, finally.

Introducing Switch to iPad, the site!

Do visit and take a look. I’ll wait.

Back? What did you think? It’s a bit sparse at the moment, but that’ll change over the coming weeks.

Now, I’m sure you have a couple of questions, so I put together a little FAQ for you.

Q. What will happen to the newsletter?
The Switch to iPad newsletter, sent weekly here on Substack, will continue as usual. The site is meant to be a partner publication. In fact, you can expect an additional issue, recapping the week. This won’t count against the proper (usually paid) issues, though.

Q. Will the site be free?
Yes, everything on the site will be free for starters. I’d like to do something extra for paying subscribers in the future, though. It’ll be included in your subscription, if you’ve got one.

Q. How ofter will the site get updates?
A couple of times every week, on no particular days. It’ll happen when it happens.

Q. How will the content differ between posts on the site, and the paid newsletter?
The newsletter will continue to be more in-depth issues covering a particular topic, whereas I expect the posts on the site to follow the news-cycle, albeit not trying to be an Apple tech blog or anything like that. I’m also looking forward to doing some reviews of apps and gadgets, content that hasn't felt right in the newsletter.

Q. Will you move Switch to iPad from Substack?
Not at this time, no.

Huh, I expected there’d be more questions… Anyway, if you have one, just hit reply (if you’re reading this in your email client), or head over to the about page and use the form there. You can always tweet to @tdh too.

Okay, that’s it for now. I hope you’ll take a look at the new Switch to iPad site, and share it with friends and family. As I mentioned, it’s a bit scarce now, but that’ll change for sure.

We’ll talk soon. Thanks for being a supporter!
