The first week with the new Switch to iPad site 🎉

Thank you for all you support!

Hi all!

It’s been a short week for the new site, but I figured it’d be a good idea to set the habit of a wrap-up email on Sundays early on. These emails will, as I mentioned in the last letter, be free for all.

I’d like to start by thanking everyone who’s been supporting the launch of the Switch to iPad site. Emails, messages, tweets, and shares — it’s all so very much appreciated. I hope you’ll continue to help me reach out with the site, as there’s a lot of noise out there, and I can sure use all the help I can get.

Anyway, here’s what we published on switchtoipad.com this week.

🥳 The inaugural welcome post started it all, along with the obvious about and subscribe pages.

⌨️ You can get the new Magic Keyboard with Touch ID without buying an iMac, which is good news for some (especially if you’re on a M1 Mac mini), perhaps less so for iPad users, though.

🛍 Apple finally updated the Apple Store on the web. It’s about time.

👩‍💻 The latest update to writing app Ulysses focuses on blogging.

🏎 In other app update news, the Affinity suite has gotten a serious speed bump (or so they say).

🃏 Our first-ever review on the site is for the Apple Arcade Original, Solitaire Stories.

Do consider subscribing to the Switch to iPad RSS feed, if you’re into RSS readers, or follow @switchtoipad on Twitter for automatic updates that way. Or you could just wait for these emails, of course.

Next week sees a proper issue for paying subscribers on Wednesday, and a wrap-up like this on Sunday. That’s the plan anyway, but I’m getting my second COVID-19 shot on Monday, so that might mess things up a bit. I hope you’ll understand if that’s the case.

See you soon!
